z-code, 4 speed
Dad bought new from Woody Sander Ford in Cincinnati, July 30th, 1963. Scheduled assembly 23 July, Louisville plant. 390 replaced with a Ford service long block (date code: 8/1962) in mid-1972; with plain jane C8AE-H heads at about 121k miles. Transmission was rebuilt and clutch replaced as well. Odometer now at about 230K; clutch is getting tired. Dad replaced front seat upholstery and carpets with NOS parts at some point. Framed the window sticker and original loan agreement; original dash with no blemishes. Survived some bumps and bruises from my brother and I who drove it to high school. Paint has been refreshed once and some right side trim replaced with NOS parts. The 8 track and speaker next to my left foot has been removed. A buddy and I hacked it in there back in the day. Never driven in snow. Resided in Florida 65-67, Southern California until 1986, Minnesota until when Dad turned it over to me. One of his grandsons and I drove it home to California in 2011. Since then, one wire Powermaster alternator in the generator case, upgraded the brake MC to a dual bowl and installed headlight relays with no wires cut.
