April 2019.
My car I bought a few months back. Nice car, no rust but had been sitting for many years. FE 352 CID, 2 speed power glide. Car was making a lot of valve noise when I got it. I didn't give it much consideration considering the car had been sitting in a warehouse for more than 10 years when I got it. To make a long story very short I took too long to take off the valve covers to see what was making the racket. When I did I discovered there was one broken push rod and a couple of bent push rods. What do I do? Do I rebuild the engine back to stock or have a motor built with that block? I went with the latter. Local speed shop referred a builder so the new motor will be bored and stroked to 445 CID. Edelbrock top end, 750 Holley, polished and balanced bottom end with a new C6 trans. While we were doing all of this we are adding AC and a new sound system. Looking forward to driving the car to Louisville in August.
