History of Car:
Built in Ford's Atlanta, Georgia Plant on May 31st 1961, this particular model "Starliner" was only offered for sale in 1960 & 1961 with a total of 98,310 vehicles produced for both years.
The car was purchased through an Ad in "Hemmings Motor News" from a resident of Asheville, North Carolina on February 8th 1986. Frank is the fourth owner of this car. Since 1986, the interior was replaced with custom black rolled and pleated vinyl. A new headliner was installed and a fiberglass bubble hood and the car was painted. All chrome was re done.
The old engine was replaced with a race prepared Holman & Moody 390 High performance power plant, and a Borg Warner T-10 4 speed transmission was attached behind it with a Hurst Shifter. New Cragar SS Mag Wheels with Goodyear Eagle ST Radial tires keep the car on the road. New front coil and rear leaf springs along with Lakewood suspension bars completed the project.
